⑴ Classification of the products to be procured : 14
⑵ Nature and quantity of the products to be rented : Supercomputer system, 1 set
⑶ Type of the procurement : Rent
⑷ Basic requirements of the procurement :
① The total processing performance of the supercomputer is to exceed about 6 times of that of the currently running computing system
② The capacity of the main memory of the supercomputer is to be more than 100TB
③ A high-speed magnetic disk device system and a mass storage magnetic disk device system are to be equipped. The total amount of these disks is to be more than 10PB
④ A file server system is to be equipped for storing and serving user's program files
⑤ A high-speed network system is to be equipped between the supercomputer system and the Institute LAN
⑥ A data processing server system is to be equipped for supporting usage
⑦ Operating System is to be based on UNIX and is to be equipped with batch queuing system
⑧ The supercomputer system should include programming languages such as FORTRAN, C, C++, utilities for parallel programming such as MPI, developer tools, and parallelized scientific technology simulation libraries. Execution of simulation programs already developed in NICT is guaranteed
